The SUVCW is a patriotic fraternal organisation made of male descendents of soldiers who fought in the US Civil War on the Union side.
The SUVCW is one of a number of organisation who see themselves as the successor to the Grand Army of the Republic.
Insignias

Insignias take the form of medal-like badges worn on the left chest.
Associate Badges Edit
Associate do not fulfil the membership requirement of being a descendant of a union veteran but are allowed to join as associate due to their interest in the aim of the Organisation.

Membership Badges Edit
Only one type of membership badge may be worn at a time although other commemorative medals may be worn in addition to them.
(granted to an ineligible but eminent person at the discretion of the national commander)

Past Commander Edit
These badges are worn by commanders following the end of their mandate. It is worn in addition to their current membership badge.
