The Afghan National Army is the ground forces branch of the Afghan Armed Forces. It currently works alongside military personnel of various countries who provide suport and training.

The following insignias are taken from various sources including militaria collector sites and news photos. Although all appear to have existed, even if only briefly, it is unclear if they all existed concurrently and it is quite possible that some are currently obsolete.
It should also be pointed out that there are conflicting titles given for the lowest ranks so these should be taken with some care.
